"We've got something for you." That's what Sarah said when she told me Carey was coming over to the house. For some reason they both wanted to be there. So . . . here are the pictures. Now you'll know why they came and what they brought.
Not pictured with all of this healthy stuff is a large bag of encouraging notes from all over the country. I'm not sure how this was pulled off but I can't wait to read every one of them. I have already been firmly instructed that I cannot read them all at one setting. I am allowed two or three each day of the ride. What I plan to do then is begin reading them on May 16 when we begin the pedaling part of this journey. I'm already encouraged and haven't even started reading them yet so it will be a hard wait and patience is not one of my spiritual gifts! I'm sure these letters and quotes will fuel the fires and get the wheels turning early every day.
Almost everything is packed and we're hoping to depart early tomorrow, Lord willing. We'll head north and, somewhere up there, turn west toward the Pacific Ocean. Right now, I'm headed down the hall where I'll turn right, make another right, and hop into my bed. We packed today and Margaret made me do most of the work . . . and I'm tired. And remember, one picture is worth a thousand words, so you're looking at a blog of over 6,000 words.
Sleep tight.
